Lifestyle destination Ce La Vi strengthens its contemporary Asian concept with new casual offerings.
It’s easy to live the high life at one of Singapore’s premier dining venues. Ce La Vi boasts unfettered vistas of the Singapore Strait and Gardens by the Bay, which can be enjoyed from all three of their dining spaces: the indoor and alfresco restaurant, Skybar, and Sky Lounge.
No matter where you choose to kick back, you can expect contemporary Asian flavours courtesy of group executive chef Joey Sergentakis and lead mixologist Andrew Hyman.
The 7,000sq feet space certainly goes hand in hand with food. With lush Balinese accoutrements, textured Asian-inspired elements, and respect for Cambodian architecture, the swanky spot is the place to celebrate Asian heritage.
Sergentakis’ passion for bold, local flavours are best seen within the main dining room, where you can indulge in Fremantle Octopus, complete with a smooth tom yum emulsion with coconut cream. Alternatively, take in the aroma of the smoked black cod, paired with punchy coriander and lime salad that’s drizzled with cilantro oil.
Mains aside, end the meal on a sweet note with the innovative Yuzu Lotus Bao. The refreshing dessert starts with a citron financier base, delicately layered with white lotus mousse and yuzu passion cremeux on top and garnished with yuzu jelly and sorbet.
Recently, Ce La Vi’s Skybar introduced its new casual arm, Bao. It’s specialty? Bao burgers, inspired by the fluffy staples enjoyed throughout Japan, Taiwan, and China. Stuffed to the brim with premium ingredients like black Angus barbequed beef, Iberico pork char siu, and tempura seabass, these morsels are no gimmick.
Top it off with a serving of hand-cut fries, and these bao burgers are perfect for a mid-afternoon lounge at the Skybar.
The hearty offerings are best enjoyed with Skybar’s Even cocktail in hand, a tart and spicy Japanese twist on a classic New York Sour.
